THE MATH, EXPLAINED
How we calculate
Net wall area × (average thickness ÷ reference thickness) × material weight at that reference × (1 + allowance ÷ 100). Divide by bag weight and round up.
Before you buy
Use an average thickness measured across the wall. Convert the product coverage to material weight per unit area at the reference thickness. Check the allowed layer thickness and compatible substrate. Primer, lath, mesh, and corner beads are not included.
